Abstract

The world's need for energy supplies cannot be denied that the world really needs energy supplies as the world's population increases because most of the energy needs utilize energy from fossil fuels. Fossil energy sources are very limited and their use has a negative impact on the environment, such as fossil fuels can produce carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) due to combustion residue. The frame is one of the most important parts of a car which must have a strong construction according to the needs of the car which is designed to withstand the weight of the vehicle. Every frame construction that is made must be able to withstand the load of the components in the vehicle. The research results obtained in this study are that the frame used for the JTM EV car frame is AISI 4130 steel. The frame loading at the front is 245 N, then the rear frame load is 863 N, experiencing a displacement of 7,202 mm and the safety factor obtained after carrying out the load is 4.66, which means the frame is safe to use.

Additional Information: Kebutuhan dunia akan pasokan energi tidak bisa dipungkiri kembali bahwa dunia ini memang membutuhkan pasokan energi dengan seiring bertambahnya populasi di dunia ini karena sebagian besar kebutuhan energi memanfaatkan energi dari bahan bakar fosil. Sumber energi fosil sangatlah terbatas dan diikuti penggunaannya yang memberikan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan seperti bahan bakar fosil bisa menghasilkan karbon monoksida (CO) dan karbondioks-ida (CO2) akibat sisa pembakaran. Rangka merupakan salah satu bagian yang paling penting pada mobil yang harus mempunyai konstruksi yang kuat sesuai dengan kebutuhan mobil yang ingin dirancang untuk menahan beban kendaraan. Setiap kontruksi rangka yang dibuat haruslah memiliki harus mampu untuk menahan beban dari komponen yang ada di kendaraan. Hasil penelitian yang didapat pada penelitian ini adalah rangka yang digunakan untuk rangka mobil JTM EV adalah baja AISI 4130. Pembebanan rangka pada bagian di depan sebesar 245 N kemudian pembebanan rangka bagian belakang sebesar 863 N mengalami displacement sebesar 7,202 mm serta safety of factor yang didapatkan setelah melakukan pembebanan adalah 4,66 yang artinya rangka aman untuk digunakan.
