Abstract

Small Micro and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Hikmah Usaha is a manufacturing company operating in the furniture industry. In the daily work process of carrying out physical activities such as lifting, pushing, cutting and so on, it is known that when doing work, workers complain of fatigue while doing the work and also after doing the work. Therefore, research was conducted to measure the workload on Hikmah Usaha MSMEs and provide suggestions for improvements to reduce the workload on Hikmah Usaha MSMEs. The method used to measure workload is CVL (Cardiovascular Load). The results obtained are that the %CVL of all workers at MSME Hikmah Usaha is in the range of 34.07% to 43.40% with the average physical workload at MSME Hikmah Usaha being 37.42%. To reduce the workload in this study, a suggestion is given, namely providing a 15 minute break at 10.00-10.15 and 15.00-15.15, giving ear plugs to workers to reduce the impact of machine noise received by workers and by adding additional rest time to grinding station workers because the workers These people are already at a non-productive age.
