Abstract

Swampy soil has a high water content and high plasticity values, making it challenging to construct any structure on it because the soil is highly susceptible to changes in water content. The soil used is swampy soil from Jalan Kp. Tegal Wangi No. 62, Rw. Arum, Grogol District, Cilegon City, Banten, with a CBR value of 0.92%. However, according to the applicable standards, the CBR value of the subgrade soil should not be less than 6%. If it does not meet this requirement, the soil needs to be stabilized. The materials used for stabilization are 20% steel slag and Portland cement with variations of 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%, and curing is done for 0, 3, and 7 days. The results of the conducted research show that the use of steel slag and Portland cement can increase the CBR value of the swampy soil. Initially, the CBR value of the swampy soil was 2.87%, and after stabilization, the highest CBR value obtained was 100.69%.

Additional Information: Tanah rawa mempunyai kadar air dan nilai plastisitas yang tinggi, hal ini akan menyulitkan ketika harus membangun suatu konstruksi di atasnya karena tanah sangat rentan dengan perubahan kadar air. Tanah yang digunakan merupakann tanah rawa dari Jl. Kp. Tegal wangi No.62, Rw. arum, Kec. Grogol, Kota Cilegon, Banten, yang memiliki nilai CBR sebesar 0,92%, sementara itu berdasarkan standar yang berlaku, nilai CBR tanah dasar tidak boleh kurang dari 6%, jika belum memenuhi maka tanah perlu di stabilisasi. Material yang digunakan untuk stabilisasi yaitu 20% terak baja dan semen portland dengan variasi 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% dan dilakukan pemeraman selama 0, 3, 7 hari. Hasil dari penelitian yang sudah dilakukan menunjukan penggunaan terak baja dan semen portland dapat meningkatkan nilai CBR pada tanah rawa, yang awalnya nilai CBR tanah rawa sebesar 2,87% dan setelah dilakukanya stabilisasi didapatkan nilai CBR tertinggi sebesar 100,69%
