Abstract

Clean water is a basic need needed by the community and has an important role in improving environmental health. A common problem with analog meters is the difficulty of reading the water meter. This problem can be overcome using sensor technology and wireless sensor networks. This study aims to implement a water use Monitoring system that can be done wirelessly. The Water Meter Monitoring system has a high reading accuracy rate of 0.56% and can read water at a relatively slow speed of 0.17 Liters/minute. By utilizing WSN technology, Monitoring can be carried out in a wide range with a maximum distance between nodes of 30 meters. The results of water readings can be seen through the website.

Additional Information: Air bersih merupakan kebutuhan pokok yang diperlukan masyarakat dan memiliki peranan penting dalam meningkatkan kesehatan lingkungan. Masalah umum yang timbul dari meteran analog adalah sulitnya pembacaan meteran air. Masalah ini dapat diatasi menggunakan teknologi sensor dan wireless sensor network. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan sistem monitoring penggunaan air yang dapat dilakukan secara nirkabel. Sistem Monitoring Water Meter memiliki tingkat akurasi pembacaan yang tinggi yaitu 0,56% dan dapat membaca air dengan kecepatan relatif lambat yaitu 0,17 Liter/menit. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi WSN, monitoring dapat dilakukan dalam jangkauan luas dengan jarak maksimum antar node adalah 30 meter. Hasil pembacaan air dapat dilihat melalui website.
