Abstract
The Panimbang feeder is a power distribution network characterized by high load demands and long transmission lines, which often result in significant voltage drops and power losses. This study aims to analyze two optimization methods: the placement of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) as Distributed Generation (DG) and the addition of feeders, in order to optimize voltage levels and reduce losses on the feeder. Simulations were conducted using the ETAP software based on actual network data from UP3 Banten Selatan. The results show that the strategic placement of four PLTS units at buses 1355, 1204, 1270, and 1337 increased the average voltage to 19.45 kV and reduced losses by up to 76.07%. Meanwhile, the feeder addition method, implemented through parallel networks, increased the average voltage to 19.46 kV and reduced losses by 62.22%. It can be concluded that the Distributed Generation method is more effective in minimizing power losses, while the feeder addition method provides better voltage stability. This research is expected to serve as a reference for the development of more efficient, reliable, and sustainable electrical distribution systems.
