Abstract

The increase in rigid pavement in Indonesia continues to increase rapidly, both on toll roads, national roads, provincial roads, city roads and even residential roads. Rigid pavement is the construction of pavement with aggregate raw materials and uses cement as the binding material, The use of cement as a constituent material for concrete is increasing, even cement factories release an average of 0.9 kg of CO2 per ton of cement produced. The production capacity of cement slag reaches 690,000 metric tons per year. This study aims to determine the effect of cement slag as a substitute for binders on the compressive strength of concrete on fc' 25 MPa test specimens and to determine whether the ideal composition of the cement slag used. This research uses an experimental method conducted in the laboratory. The tests carried out were in the form of compressive strength and bending strength on test pieces that had 4 variations, namely concrete with 0%, 40%, 50% and 60% slag cement substitution. The results of this study obtained an average compressive strength value of 19.86 MPa and an average bending strength of 4.40 MPa in concrete with a cement slag content of 0%. Concrete with a cement slag content of 40% produces an average compressive strength of 13.97 MPa and an average bending strength of 2.95 MPa. Concrete with a cement slag content of 50% produces an average compressive strength of 13.52 MPa and an average flexural strength of 2.82 MPa. Concrete with a cement slag content of 60% produces an average compressive strength of 7.28 MPa and an average bending strength of 2.74 MPa.

Additional Information: Peningkatan perkerasan kaku di Indonesia terus bertambah dengan cepat, baik pada jalan tol, jalan nasional, jalan provinsi, jalan kota bahkan sampai ke jalan perumahan. Perkerasan kaku merupakan konstruksi perkerasan dengan bahan baku agregat dan menggunakan semen sebagai bahan pengikatnya, Penggunaan semen sebagai bahan penyusun beton semakin meningkat, bahkan pabrik semen melepaskan rata-rata 0,9 kg CO2 per ton semen yang diproduksi. Kapasitas produksi semen slag mencapai 690.000 metrik ton per tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh semen slag sebagai subtitusi bahan pengikat terhadap kuat tekan beton pada benda uji fc’ 25 MPa dan mengetahui ideal atau tidaknya komposisi semen slag yang digunakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental yang dilakukan di laboratorium. Pengujian yang dilakukan berupa kuat tekan dan kuat lentur pada benda uji yang memiliki 4 variasi, yaitu beton dengan subtitusi semen slag 0%, 40%,50% dan 60%. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan nilai kuat tekan rata - rata 19,86 MPa dan kuat lentur rata - rata 4,40 MPa pada beton kadar semen slag 0%. Beton kadar semen slag 40% menghasilkan kuat tekan rata - rata 13,97 MPa dan kuat lentur rata - rata 2,95 MPa. Beton kadar semen slag 50% menghasilkan kuat tekan rata - rata 13,52 MPa dan kuat lentur rata - rata 2,82 MPa.
