Abstract

The Contextual Teaching and Learning model is a concept for children’s learning that applies the learning by doing learning process, meaning that children are trained to relate the material they learn to events in the real word. Playing while learning activities will be more effective when using this learning model, as has been described that the children’s world is the world of play, in this model the teacher as a motivator and faciliator only provides and models children’s learning methods to stimulate children to build their own understanding independently. In this model, children can also play their imagination and increase their cognitive devleopment. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive method. That is a method to describe which analyzes the penomenon of events, social, activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, thoughts of people individually or in groups. In this reseacrh, the Integrated PAUD Nurul Qoriyah has applied the Contextual Teaching and Learning Model in daily learning activities.

Additional Information: Model Contextual Teaching and Learning adalah suatu konsep belajar anak yang menerapkan proses belajar learning by doing, artinya anak dilatih untuk mengaitkan materi yang dipelajarinya dengan kejadian di dunia nyata. Aktivitas bermain sambil belajar akan lebih efektif apabila memakai model belajar ini, sebagaimana telah di uraikan bahwa dunia anak adalah dunia bermain, pada model ini maka guru sebagai motivator dan fasilitator hanya menyediakan dan memodelkan cara belajar anak guna merangsang anak untuk membangun pemahamannya sendiri secara mandiri. Dalam model ini juga anak dapat memainkan imajinasinya juga meningkatkan perkembangan kognitifnya. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Yaitu suatu metode yang ditujukan untuk mendeskripsikan yang menganalisis fenomena peristiwa, aktivitas sosial, sikap, kepercayaan, persepsi, pemikiran orang secara individual maupun kelompok. Pada penelitan ini, PAUD Terpadu Nurul Qoriyah sudah menerapkan model Contextual Teaching and Learning dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sehari-hari.
