Abstract

Monitoring and checking of solar panels that operate for a long time is needed to determine the performance of these solar panels. Solar panel performance may decrease due to solar radiation, temperature, dust, operating conditions and damage to the solar panel. The main objective of this research is to determine the effect of using solar panels for a long time on the deterioration in performance produced by solar panels in weather conditions in the city of Cilegon using 2 solar panels, new monocrystaline solar panels and monocrystaline solar panels that have been operating for 7 years. The method in this study is to test the output performance produced by solar panels and monitoring solar panel output using the Thinger.io platform. The results of this study show that solar panels that have been operating for 7 years experience discoloration, corrosion and a decrease in the resulting performance. The current reduction of the solar panels is 2,54 A and the voltage drop is 3,11 V compared to the specification of the panel.

Additional Information: Pemantauan dan pengecekan panel surya yang beroperasi dalam jangka waktu yang lama diperlukan untuk mengetahui performa panel surya tersebut. Performa panel surya dapat mengalami penurunan yang disebabakan oleh radasi matahari, suhu, debu, kondisi operasi dan kerusakan pada panel surya. Tujuan utama dari penlitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan panel surya dalam jangka waktu yang lama terhadap penurunan performa yang dihaslkan panel surya pada kondisi cuaca di kota Cilegon mengunakan 2 panel surya yaitu panel surya monocrystaline baru dan panel surya monocrystaline yang sudah beroperasi selama 7 tahun. Metode pada penelitian ini yaitu uji kinerja output yang dihasilkan oleh panel surya serta pemantauan output panel surya menggunakan platform Thinger.io. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan panel surya yang sudah beroperasi selama 7 tahun mengalami perubahan warna, korosi dan penurunan performa yang dihasilkan. Penuruna arus panel surya lama sebesar 2,54 A dan penurunan tegangan sebesar 3,11 V dibandingkan spesifikasi panel tersebut.
