Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a disease that has a high risk of becoming heart disease, stroke and kidney failure. A condition in which systolic and diastolic pressures increase beyond the normal limit, namely systolic blood pressure > 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of 90 mmHg. Hypertension is a condition of chronically increasing blood pressure, this occurs because the heart works harder to pump blood to meet the body's needs for oxygen and nutrients. There are 2 ways of treating hypertension, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological. One of the non-pharmacological methods is by giving cucumber juice. The purpose of this study was to determine the nursing care carried out to hypertension families with the application of non-pharmacological therapy through cucumber juice therapy. This research design uses a case study. The subjects taken were 2 families with one family member experiencing hypertension. The results of this study showed a lack of knowledge of hypertension sufferers about hypertension with the application of the complexity of the care/treatment program in hypertension sufferers. It is hoped that people with hypertension will be able to increase their knowledge and insight about hypertension and care/treatment programs for people with hypertension. Additional Information:	Hipertensi atau tekanan darah tinggi adalah suatu penyakit salah satu resiko tinggi yang bisa menjadi penyakit jantung, stroke dan gagal ginjal. Suatu keadaan dimana tekanan systole dan diastole mengalami kenaikan yang melebihi batas normal yaitu tekanan darah systole >140 mmHg dan diastole 90 mmHg. hipertensi merupakan keadaan meningkatnya tekanan darah secara kronis, hal ini terjadi karena jantung bekerja lebih keras memompa darah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan oksigen dan nutrisi tubuh. Cara pengobatan hipertensi terbagi menjadi 2 yaitu secara farmakologi dan non farmakologi. Salah satu cara non farmakologi adalah dengan pemberian jus mentimun. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui asuhan keperawatan yang dilakukan kepada keluarga hipertensi dengan penerapan terapi nonfarmakologi melalui terapi jus mentimun. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus. Subjek yang diambil adalah 2 keluarga dengan salah satu anggota keluarga mengalami hipertensi. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkakan kurangnya pengetahuan penderita hipetensi tentang hipertensi dengan penerapan kompleksitas program perawatan/pengobatan pada penderita hipertensi. Diharapkan kepada penderita hipertensi untuk dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan mengenai Hipertensi serta program perawatan/pengobatan pada penderita hipertensi. Kata kunci: Hipertensi, Systole, Diastole, Jus Mentimun.
