Abstract
Class action research writing exposed by the background of the student activity and student learning outcomes by applying the method of beach ball. The purpose of this study is (1)To enhance the students' learning activities using method learning beach ball (2) to increase students' learning outcomes the method learning beach ball. The research method used was Classroom Action Research is conducted in two cycles, each cycles includes : planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected by testing, observation, the research was conducted at SDN Cigoong I Walantaka District Serang-Bantenthe subjects were 30 grade V the results showed that : (1) usethe method learning beach ballcanimprovestudents' learning activities, this isshown bythe increasing percentage ofstudent learning activitiesrangingfromcycleI tocycleII. Percentage of the value of student activity cycle I was 73.33 % and the second was 93%. (2) usethe method learning beach ballcanimprovestudents' learning activities, this can be seenfromthe value ofstudent learning outcomes. the average percentage ofstudent learning outcomesof thecycleof69,83and 80 for the second cycle. The conclusion that can be drawn is that learning to use cooperative method learning beach ball can improve the abilityof understandingtheconcept of historical heritage of hindu-budhist and islaminfifth gradeICigoongSDN walantakadistrictsSerang-Banten Academic year 2014/2015. | Additional Information: | Penulisan penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan dari aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa dengan penerapan metode beach ball. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran beach ball. (2) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran beach ball. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindak kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, tiap siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes, Observasi penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Cigoong I Kecamatan Walantaka Kota Serang-Banten subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) penggunaan metode pembelajaran beach ball dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa, hal ini ditunjukan dengan meningkatnya persentase aktivitas belajar siswa mulai dari siklus I sampai siklus II. Nilai persentase aktivitas siswa siklus I adalah73.33 % dan siklus II adalah 93%. (2) penggunaan metode pembelajaran beach ball dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa, hal ini dilihat dari nilai hasil belajar siswa. Persentase rata-rata hasil belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 69,83dan siklus II sebesar 80. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran beach ball dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman pada konsep peninggalan sejarah masa hindu-budha dan islam pada kelas V SDN Cigoong I Kecamatan Walantaka Kota Serang-Banten Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015.
