Abstract
Penelitian ini didasari dari identitas budaya semakin menurun seiring dengan proses globalisasi dan terbatasnya modul yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran yang terintegrasi dengan budaya. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan kurangnya kebanggaan terhadap budaya dan pemahaman konsep siswa karena tidak dihubungkan dengan aplikasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas modul pembelajaran berbasis etnosains pada tema asam dan basa, serta mengetahui respon siswa kelas XI terhadap modul yang digunakan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan tahapan: identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, desain modul kimia berbasis etnosains, validasi modul, revisi modul, uji coba terbatas, dan hasil akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan menurut BSNP valid digunakan dengan perhitungan Aiken pada aspek materi dan media masing-masing sebesar 0,99 dan 0,97. Hasil respon siswa kelompok tinggi, sedang dan rendah mendapatkan persentase 92%, 93%, dan 92% yang termasuk kedalam kategori “sangat baik”. Respon siswa untuk kesadaran akan budaya, penggunaan sumber daya alam, dan kepahaman konsep didapat respon yang positif dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan valid untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran kimia.

| Additional Information: | The research-based on cultural identity decreases along with the process of globalization and limited modules used in learning that is integrated with culture. This results in less pride in culture and understanding of students' concept because they are not connected with application in daily life. This study aims to determine the validity of ethnoscience based learning modules with the theme of acids and bases and determine the response of class XI students to the modules used. The research method is research Research and Development (R & D) which includes several stages: problem identification, data collection, design-science module based ethnoscience, design validation, design revisions, small-scale trials, and final module. The results showed that the modules developed according to BSNP valid with Aiken's calculations for aspects of content and media was 0.99 and 0.97. As for the responses of students in the high, medium and low groups, they get a percentage of 92%, 93%, and 92% which are included in the "very good". Student responses to cultural awareness, use of natural resources, and understanding concept get positive responses in the "very good" category. This showed that the module developed is valid for use in learning chemistry. | |||||||||
