Abstract
Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji kemampuan siswa SMA dalam menyusun bukti matematis dan mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab kemampuan siswa dalam menyusun bukti matematis. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA-1 SMA Negeri 1 Kota Serang dengan kemampuan menyusun bukti matematis yang baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, yaitu studi kasus terhadap siswa yang memiliki kemampuan menyusun bukti matematis yang baik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pembuktian matematis, wawancara, dan angket tentang pengetahuan pembuktian matematis. Berdasarkan analisis, diperoleh hasil: 1. Responden mampu menyusun bukti sesuai kaidah matematika. 2. Responden membuktikan pernyataan matematis menggunakan contoh. 3. Responden mampu menyangkal pernyataan dengan aturan umum. Kemampuan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu pengalaman dalam menyelesaikan soal pembuktian dan kebiasaan guru yang mengajarkan cara menurunkan rumus matematika; kebiasaan membaca buku matematika; dan ketekunan dalam menyelesaikan berbagai soal matematika.

| Additional Information: | The purpose of this study is to examine how the senior high school students contruct mathematical proof and describe the factors that cause students' ability to contruct mathematical proof. Respondents in this study were students of class XI MIPA-1 Serang 1 Public High School with the ability to develop good mathematical proof. This research was conducted with qualitative research methods with a case study approach, namely a case study of students who have the ability to develop good mathematical proof. The instruments used were tests of mathematical proof ability, interviews, and questionnaires about mathematical proof knowledge. Based on the analysis, the results were obtained: 1. Respondents were able to construct proof according to mathematical rules. 2. Respondents prove mathematical statements using examples. 3. Respondents are able to deny statements with general rules. This ability is influenced by several factors, namely the experience in completing verification questions and the habits of teachers who teach how to reduce mathematical formulas, especially in mathematics classes; habit of reading math books; and perseverance in solving various math problems. | |||||||||
