Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara praktikum pemanfaatan limbah kulit pisang dalam pembuatan nata de banana skin dengan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas VII pada Materi Pencemaran Lingkungan di SMP Negeri 14 Kota Serang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 14 Kota Serang dengan sampel kelas yang digunakan yaitu kelas VIIH melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi untuk penilaian proses praktikum siswa dan instrumen berupa test uraian untuk mengetahui hasil keterampilan proses sains siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian aktivitas siswa saat praktikum dengan lembar observasi memperoleh persentase nilai 76,34% dengan kriteria baik dan penilaian siswa pada tes uraian KPS memperoleh persentase nilai 80,52% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan perhitungan menggunakan SPSS 16.00 menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara praktikum pemanfaatan limbah kulit pisang dalam pembuatan nata de banana skin dengan perhitungan menggunakan Pearson Product Moment (PPM) diperoleh nilai R (Correlation) sebesar 0,799. Hal ini menyatakan bahwa semakin besar nilai praktikum siswa maka akan semakin besar pula nilai keterampilan proses sains siswa.

The study aimed to determine relationship between of practic the use of banana peels in the manufacture of Nata de Banana Skin with the skill of science students in class VII on the matter of environmental pollution in the public Junior High School 14 the city of Serang. The methodology used is correlational analysis. The populastion research used was a class VII in the public junior high school 14 the city of Serang with both the class in which VIIH in purposive sampling technique. An instrument used berup sheets of observation to the assesment of the process of lab work students and the results of the tests to find out the science students skills. The result showed that the activity students at the time with sheets of lab work fot the percent value 76,34% with the criteria for goog and assesing which students are on a test for the percentage of the percent value 80,52% with very good criteria. Based on the calculation of using SPSS 20, reveals powerful relationship between lab work utilization of the waste the skin of banana in making nata de banana skin by calculation using Pearson Product Momen (PPM) obtained the value of R (correlation) as much as 0,790. This imposed that the much value practic students the more large also value the skills process of science students.
