Abstract

This study aims to Analysis of the Use of Flashcard Media for Learning English Vocabulary for Intellectual Disability (Tunagrahita) Students at Skh 01 Pandeglang. Data were collected using descriptive qualitative methods through classroom observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning activities. The results showed that teachers use several learning processes with flashcards, which include visual, verbal, and audio processes, and guess the word exercises that help students remember and pronounce English Vocabulary. Students with intellectual barriers responded positively to the use of flashcards, showing interest and improvement despite the slow tempo. Flashcards proved to be an interesting learning medium so that students are more enthusiastic and easy to understand vocabulary material. Research also identifies challenges in teaching, such as difficulties in pronunciation of difficult vocabulary, but these can be overcome by repetition and reinforcement from teachers. Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Analisis Penggunaan Media Flashcard dalam Pembelajaran Kosakata Bahasa Inggris untuk Siswa Tunagrahita di Skh 01 Pandeglang. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi kelas, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta dokumentasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menggunakan beberapa proses pembelajaran dengan flashcard, yang meliputi proses visual, verbal, dan audio, dan tebak latihan kata yang membantu siswa mengingat dan melafalkan kosakata bahasa Inggris. Siswa dengan hambatan intelektual merespon positif terhadap penggunaan kartu flash, menunjukkan ketertarikan dan peningkatan meskipun dengan tempo yang lambat. Flashcard terbukti menjadi media pembelajaran yang menarik sehingga siswa lebih antusias dan mudah memahami materi kosakata. Penelitian juga mengidentifikasi tantangan dalam pengajaran, seperti kesulitan dalam pengucapan kosakata yang sulit, namun hal tersebut dapat diatasi dengan pengulangan dan penguatan dari guru.
