Abstract
Abstract : Enhancing Students’ Interest And Achievement In Science Learning Through Process Skills Approach Of Grade IV Primary School. This research was a quantitative study in cognitive learning interest and achievement. Background of this research was that students’ cognitive learning interest and achievement had not been optimized. This research aimed to figured out the enhancement of cognitive learning interest and achievement using the Process Skills Approach in Science learning with the theme of object force effect on motion direction. The method of this research was quasiexperimental with nonequivalent control group design. The participants of this research was 30 grade IV students of SDN Taman Baru 1 Kota Cilegon in the academic year of 2020/2021. The sample used in this research was 15 students of grade IV-A as experiment group and 15 students of grade IV-B as control group. Based on the results of research studies using a process skills approach is higher because learning is centered on the student center, so the learning process involves more students in solving daily problems and improving students' psychomotor. Then for the results of research on student interest in learning through the process skills approach, it can be seen from the average number of students after being treated, including the criteria for being very interested, interested and quite interested. Meanwhile, the result of students’ cognitive learning achievement through the Process Skills Approach could be seen from the result of two-sided t-test. Post-test data showed that ttable score was 2,048 and tcount score was 3,43. If ttable ≤ tcount ≤ ttable , then H0 rejected and Hα accepted. The post-test result of students’ cognitive learning achievement in the experiment group was improving with the mean score of 83,76% while the control group score was 73,5%.
