Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the concentration of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in edible fish and water from the Citarum River Basin to Saguling Reservoir, West Java. Sampling was conducted at eight river stations and one reservoir station, including water samples and three fish species: common carp, tilapia, and catfish. Samples were extracted using pentane and dichloromethane through fractionation and analyzed using GC-MS. The results showed that only low-molecular-weight PAHs were detected, predominantly naphthalene, with the highest concentration found in catfish (2760.7890 µg/kg) and the lowest in carp (946.4840 µg/kg). For water samples, the highest PAH concentration occurred at station C1 (141.4232 µg/kg), while the lowest was found in Saguling Reservoir (3.4768 µg/kg). The dominance of light PAHs indicates petrogenic sources and low-intensity anthropogenic activities. Overall, PAH concentrations were categorized as low and did not indicate serious contamination, although the persistent presence of naphthalene requires continuous monitoring. These results provide essential baseline information for environmental assessment and food safety evaluation in the Citarum–Saguling region.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsentrasi Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) pada ikan konsumsi dan air di Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Citarum hingga Waduk Saguling, Jawa Barat. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada delapan stasiun sungai dan satu stasiun waduk, meliputi sampel air serta tiga spesies ikan, yaitu ikan mas, ikan nila, dan ikan lele. Sampel diekstraksi menggunakan pelarut pentana dan diklorometana melalui proses fraksinasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya PAH dengan berat molekul rendah yang terdeteksi, dengan naftalena sebagai senyawa yang paling dominan. Konsentrasi tertinggi ditemukan pada ikan lele sebesar 2.760,7890 μg/kg, sedangkan konsentrasi terendah terdapat pada ikan mas sebesar 946,4840 μg/kg. Pada sampel air, konsentrasi PAH tertinggi ditemukan di stasiun C1 sebesar 141,4232 μg/kg, sementara konsentrasi terendah tercatat di Waduk Saguling sebesar 3,4768 μg/kg. Dominasi PAH ringan menunjukkan sumber pencemar bersifat petrogenik serta aktivitas antropogenik dengan intensitas rendah. Secara umum, konsentrasi PAH dikategorikan rendah dan tidak menunjukkan tingkat pencemaran yang serius, meskipun keberadaan naftalena yang persisten memerlukan pemantauan berkelanjutan.
