Abstract
This study aims to deeply analyze the role of transformational leadership of the headmaster on teacher professionalism and graduate quality, specifically concerning Islamic character and Al-Qur'an memorization (tahfidz), at SDIT Cordova 4. It also identifies challenges and opportunities in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the Headmaster, tahfidz teachers, and representatives of the school committee/parents, as well as document analysis including student memorization data for Grade 6 in the 2024/2025 academic year and the SDIT Cordova 4 Education Report. The research findings indicate that the Headmaster's transformational leadership at SDIT Cordova 4 is effectively implemented across four dimensions: idealized influence as a role model, inspirational motivation in communicating the vision, intellectual stimulation to encourage innovation, and individualized consideration in supporting teacher development. This leadership correlates positively and significantly with the enhancement of teacher professionalism, where teachers demonstrate high competence and strong commitment to self-development. Consequently, the quality of graduates in terms of Islamic character and Al-Qur'an memorization is very good, evidenced by 100% of Grade 6 students successfully memorizing at least Juz 30, with almost 40% exceeding this target. Students' Islamic character also shows significant positive changes, supported by a "Good" rating on general character indicators from the Education Report. Nevertheless, challenges were identified in maintaining memorization consistency post-graduation and in the varied adaptation of teachers to the flexible Merdeka Curriculum implementation. The conclusion of this study affirms that the Headmaster's transformational leadership is a primary key to SDIT Cordova 4's success in cultivating professional educators and producing graduates who excel spiritually and in character. Recommendations include developing a more structured post-graduation muroja'ah (memorization review) program, enhancing the personalization of teacher professional development, and strengthening the integration of the Merdeka Curriculum with the unique characteristics of Islamic education. Further research could explore memorization consistency in the long term through longitudinal studies or conduct comparative studies between schools.

Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan Kepala Sekolah, guru tahfidz,perwakilan komite/orang tua,serta analisis dokumen seperti data hafalan siswa kelas 6 tahun ajaran 2024/2025, Raport Pendidikan SDIT Cordova 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional Kepala Sekolah di SDIT Cordova 4 terimplementasi secara efektif melalui empat dimensi: pengaruh ideal sebagai teladan, motivasi inspirasional dalam mengkomunikasikan visi, stimulasi intelektual untuk mendorong inovasi, dan pertimbangan individu dalam mendukung pengembangan guru. Kepemimpinan ini berkorelasi positif dan signifikan dengan peningkatan profesionalisme pendidik, di mana guru menunjukkan kompetensi tinggi dan komitmen kuat terhadap pengembangan diri. Dampaknya, mutu lulusan dalam karakter keislaman dan tahfidz Al-Qur'an mencapai tingkat sangat baik, dibuktikan dengan 100% siswa kelas 6 berhasil menghafal minimal Juz 30, dan hampir 40% di antaranya melampaui target. Karakter Islami siswa juga menunjukkan perubahan positif yang signifikan, didukung oleh capaian "Baik" pada indikator karakter umum dari Raport Pendidikan. Meskipun demikian, tantangan teridentifikasi dalam menjaga konsistensi hafalan pasca-kelulusan dan variasi adaptasi guru terhadap implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka yang fleksibel. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional Kepala Sekolah adalah kunci utama keberhasilan SDIT Cordova 4 dalam membentuk pendidik profesional dan menghasilkan lulusan yang unggul secara spiritual dan karakter. Disarankan untuk mengembangkan program muroja'ah pasca-kelulusan yang lebih terstruktur, meningkatkan personalisasi pengembangan profesional guru, serta memperkuat integrasi Kurikulum Merdeka dengan kekhasan pendidikan Islam. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengeksplorasi konsistensi hafalan dalam jangka panjang melalui studi longitudinal atau melakukan studi komparatif antar sekolah. | |||||||||
