Abstract
This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes between the Jigsaw and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) learning models in the subject of Automotive Engineering Basics for class X of SMKN 4 Kota Serang. The background of this study began with the low student learning outcomes due to the dominance of the lecture method, which does not involve student activity. This study used the Quasi-Experimental Design method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class using the Jigsaw model and the control class using PjBL, with a total of 53 students. The research instrument was a multiple-choice learning outcome test given at the pre-test and post-test stages, then analyzed using an independent t-test through the SPSS version 27 application. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the two learning models with a significance value of 0.035 (<0.05). The average value of the experimental class's learning outcomes increased from 56.29 to 75.19, while the control class only increased from 63.08 to 66.92. Thus, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw learning model is more effective in improving student learning outcomes than PjBL on the Automotive Measuring Instruments material.

Latar belakang penelitian ini berawal dari rendahnya hasil belajar siswa akibat dominannya metode ceramah yang kurang melibatkan keaktifan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi-Experimental Design dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model Jigsaw dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan PjBL, dengan jumlah total 53 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar berbentuk pilihan ganda yang diberikan pada tahap pre-test dan post-test, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji t independen melalui aplikasi SPSS versi 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua model pembelajaran dengan nilai signifikansi 0,035 (< 0,05). Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen meningkat dari 56,29 menjadi 75,19, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya meningkat dari 63,08 menjadi 66,92. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Jigsaw lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dibandingkan PjBL pada materi Alat Ukur Otomotif. | |||||||||
