Abstract
Background Osteoarthritis is still a term that is not well known in the general public. Osteoarthritis or more easily abbreviated as OA is a joint condition that is very common, especially in the elderly, however, it does not rule out the possibility that OA can occur at a younger age. Knee joint calcification is a complex peripheral joint disorder with various risk factors, known as osteoarthritis (OA). Knee OA is the most common type of knee arthritis found (besides rheumatoid arthritis, post-traumatic arthritis and others). The prevalence of Singandaru Health Center, Serang City in 2024 showed that 338 people with osteoarthritis visited the Singandaru Health Center with complaints of pain in the hands and feet and frequent joint tension, which disrupted activities. The purpose of the study was to determine the application of warm compresses to overcome acute pain in the elderly with osteoarthritis by providing physical therapy with warm compress techniques in osteoarthritis patients at the Singandaru Health Center. The maintenance approach method and using data collection techniques, namely interview techniques, observation, and physical examination. Results: After Family Nursing Care was carried out for 4 visits, the results of Acute Pain were obtained.

| Additional Information: | Latar belakang Osteoarthritis masih merupakan istilah yang kurang dikenal di masyarakat umum. Osteoarthritis atau yang lebih mudahnya disingkat OA merupakan suatu kondisi sendi yang sangat umum ditemukan terutama pada usia lanjut, namun, itu tidak menutup kemungkinan OA ini bisa terjadi pada usia lebih muda. Pengapuran sendi lutut merupakan gangguan sendi perifer kompleks dengan berbagai faktor risiko, yang dikenal dengan istilah osteoarthritis (OA). OA lutut merupakan jenis arthritis lutut tersering yang ditemukan (selain arthritis rheumatoid, arthritis paska trauma dan lain). Prevalensi Puskesmas Singandaru Serang Kota tahun 2024 menunjukan bahwa penderita radang sendi osteoarthtritisyang berkunjug ke Puskesmas Singandaru sebanyak 338 orang dengan keluhan nyeri pada bagian tangan dan kaki serta sering terjadi kekakuan sendi sehingga membuat aktivitas terganggu Tujuan Pada penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi pemberian kompres hangat untuk mengatasi nyeri akut pada lansia dengan osteoarthritis dengan memberikan terapi fisik teknik kompres hangat pada pasien dengan osteoarthritis di Puskesmas Singandaru. Metode Pendekatan asuhan keperawatan dan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik wawancara, observasi, dan pemeriksaan fisik. Hasil: Setelah dilakukan Asuhan Keperawatan Keluarga selama 4 kali kunjungan didapatkan hasil Nyeri Akut Teratasi. | |||||||||
