Abstract
In the midst of increasingly complex diversity, school isn’t only an arena for knowledge transfer, but also a strategic space for character building and human values. This study is present to explore how strong the influence of school culture is in fostering students' tolerance attitude at SMAN 1 Tangerang Regency. The school culture in question isn’t only in the slogans displayed in the classroom hallway, but incarnated in the warm greeting of a teacher, as well as in an inclusive atmosphere that allows all identities to feel accepted. Through a quantitative approach, this study involved 82 grade XI students as respondents. The instrument used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale, which was then analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show that school culture has a positive contribution of 24% to students' tolerance attitude. This means that a quarter of the learners' ability to accept differences and coexist peacefully is influenced by the values instilled through school culture. As for the rest, it’s influenced by other factors that the researchers didn’t examine in this study. This research is a reminder that schools aren’t only a place to create a cognitively intelligent generation, but also a vehicle to foster a wise, open and empathetic soul. In the context of increasing social polarization and intolerance, schools should ideally be the starting point for change. This research is also expected to be a practical reference for educators and policy makers to continue to strengthen a humanist and transformative school culture.

| Additional Information: | Di tengah keberagaman yang semakin kompleks, sekolah tidak hanya sekadar sebagai arena transfer ilmu pengetahuan, melainkan sebagai ruang strategis pembentukan karakter dan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Penelitian ini hadir untuk menggali seberapa kuat pengaruh budaya sekolah dalam menumbuhkan sikap toleransi peserta didik di SMAN 1 Kabupaten Tangerang. Budaya sekolah yang dimaksud tidak hanya sekadar pada slogan yang terpajang di lorong kelas, melainkan menjelma dalam sapaan hangat seorang guru, serta dalam atmosfer inklusif yang memungkinkan semua identitas merasa diterima. Melalui pendekatan kuantitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan 82 peserta didik kelas XI sebagai responden. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dengan skala Likert, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa budaya sekolah memiliki kontribusi positif sebesar 24% terhadap sikap toleransi peserta didik. Maknanya, seperempat dari kemampuan peserta didik untuk menerima perbedaan dan hidup berdampingan secara damai dipengaruhi oleh nilai-nilai yang ditanamkan lewat budaya sekolah. Adapun sisanya, dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak peneliti teliti dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menjadi pengingat bahwa sekolah tidak hanya menjadi tempat menciptakan generasi cerdas secara kognitif, tetapi juga wahana untuk menumbuhkan jiwa yang bijak, terbuka, dan berempati. Dalam konteks meningkatnya polarisasi dan intoleransi sosial, sekolah idealnya menjadi titik awal hadirnya perubahan. Penelitian ini pun diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi praktis bagi pendidik dan pembuat kebijakan untuk terus menguatkan budaya sekolah yang humanis dan transformatif. | |||||||||
