Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the readiness of the implementation of the Expertise Competency Test (UKK) in the Industrial Mechanical Engineering department of class XI at SMKN 8 Serang City. The evaluation focuses on three main aspects, namely student readiness, teacher competence, and the availability of practice facilities. This study uses a quantitative approach with a formative evaluation design. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, observations, and interviews, with a total of 112 students and 2 productive teachers as respondents, as well as an assessment of the condition of practice facilities. The results of the study showed that student readiness in the affective and psychomotor aspects was in the very good category, while the cognitive aspect was included in the good category. Teacher competence covering pedagogical, professional, social, and personality aspects also showed good results. Meanwhile, the readiness of practice facilities in general was considered adequate, although there was still some equipment that needed to be updated to meet industry standards. Overall, the results of this study indicate that SMKN 8 Kota Serang is in the category of being ready to implement the Skills Competency Test (UKK), both in terms of student readiness, teacher readiness, and facility readiness, which is reflected in the high level of student understanding of the implementation of UKK, adequate teacher competence, and the availability of sufficient practice facilities to demonstrate good readiness. However, to face the dynamics of industrial needs, it is recommended that there be an update of practice facilities so that the implementation of UKK is more optimal and in line with the demands of the world of work (DU/DI).

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kesiapan pelaksanaan Uji Kompetensi Keahlian (UKK) pada jurusan Teknik Mekanik Industri kelas XI di SMKN 8 Kota Serang. Evaluasi difokuskan pada tiga aspek utama, yaitu kesiapan siswa, kompetensi guru, dan ketersediaan fasilitas praktik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain evaluasi formatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket, observasi, dan wawancara, dengan total responden terdiri dari 112 siswa dan 2 guru produktif, serta penilaian terhadap kondisi fasilitas praktik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan siswa dalam aspek afektif dan psikomotorik berada pada kategori sangat baik, sedangkan aspek kognitif termasuk dalam kategori baik. Kompetensi guru yang mencakup aspek pedagogik, profesional, sosial, dan kepribadian juga menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Sementara itu, kesiapan fasilitas praktik secara umum dinilai memadai, meskipun masih terdapat beberapa peralatan yang perlu diperbarui agar sesuai dengan standar industri. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa SMKN 8 Kota Serang berada dalam kategori siap dalam melaksanakan Uji Kompetensi Keahlian (UKK), baik dari aspek kesiapan siswa, kesiapan guru, maupun kesiapan fasilitas, yang tercermin dari tingginya tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap pelaksanaan UKK, kompetensi guru yang memadai, serta ketersediaan sarana praktik yang cukup mendukung menunjukkan kesiapan yang baik. Namun demikian, untuk menghadapi dinamika kebutuhan industri, direkomendasikan adanya pemutakhiran fasilitas praktik agar pelaksanaan UKK semakin optimal dan selaras dengan tuntutan dunia kerja (DU/DI). | |||||||||
