Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effects of different application techniques and types of silica-solubilizing biofertilizers enriched with palm olein-derived diethanolamide (DEA) biosurfactant on the growth of coffee seedlings (Coffea sp.). The study was conducted from September 2024 to January 2025 in the Experimental Field and Soil and Agroclimatology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. A Split-Plot Randomized Complete Block Design was employed, with the main plots consisting of three application methods: soil drenching, foliar spraying, and a combination of both. The subplots included four biofertilizer treatments: without biofertilizer, Si rhizosfer cacao (RC) solvent biofertilizer + 5% DEA biosurfactant, Si rhizosfer sawit (RS) solvent biofertilizer + 5% DEA biosurfactant and Si consortium solvent biofertilizer + 5% DEA biosurfactant. Parameters observed included plant height, leaf number, stem diameter, and leaf greenness (chlorophyll level). The results of the study demonstrated that the application technique of silica-solubilizing biofertilizer enriched with DEA palm olein biosurfactant significantly influenced plant height at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 weeks after planting (WAP), the number of leaves at 2 and 8 WAP, and stem diameter at 6 and 8 WAP. In contrast, the treatment involving the silica-solubilizing biofertilizer consortium combined with the DEA biosurfactant exhibited significant to highly significant effects on plant height at 10 WAP, number of leaves at 4, 6, 8, and 10 WAP, stem diameter at 4, 6, 8, and 10 WAP, and leaf greenness at 10 WAP.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik aplikasi yang berbeda dan jenis pupuk hayati pelarut silika yang diperkaya dengan biosurfaktan dietanolamida (DEA) olein sawit terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kopi (Coffea sp.). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2024 hingga Januari 2025 di Kebun Percobaan serta Laboratorium Tanah dan Agroklimatologi Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Split-Plot Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap, dengan petak utama terdiri atas tiga metode aplikasi yaitu aplikasi siram pada media, aplikasi penyemprotan pada tanaman, dan aplikasi siram pada media dan tanaman. Anak petak terdiri dari empat perlakuan pupuk hayati: tanpa pupuk hayati, pupuk hayati pelarut Si rhizosfer kakao (RC) + 5% biosurfaktan DEA, pupuk hayati pelarut Si rhizosfer sawit (RS) + 5% biosurfaktan DEA, dan pupuk hayati pelarut Si konsorsium + 5% biosurfaktan DEA. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, dan kehijauan daun (kadar klorofil). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik aplikasi pupuk hayati pelarut silika yang diperkaya biosurfaktan DEA olein sawit berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 2, 4, 6, 8, dan 10 minggu setelah tanam (MST), jumlah daun pada 2 dan 8 MST, serta diameter batang pada 6 dan 8 MST. Sebaliknya, perlakuan pupuk hayati pelarut silika konsorsium yang dikombinasikan dengan biosurfaktan DEA memberikan pengaruh nyata hingga sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 10 MST, jumlah daun pada 4, 6, 8, dan 10 MST, diameter batang pada 4, 6, 8, dan 10 MST, serta kehijauan daun pada 10 MST.
