Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying problem-based learning (PBL) assisted by YouTube media on students' numeracy literacy in ecosystem materials. The research method employed is a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group. The application of PBL assisted by YouTube media was the independent variable and student numeracy literacy was the dependent variable. The population in this study, consist of all students of class X SMAN 1 Baros in the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample of this study consisted of 2 classes, namely class X-7 as the control class and class X-8 as the experimental class. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using a multiple-choice test. Data analysis techniques using nonparametric tests in the form of the Mann-Whitney U Test to test the hypothesis. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the application of PBL assisted by YouTube media on students' numeracy literacy in ecosystem material.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan problem based learning (PBL) berbantuan media youtube terhadap literasi numerasi siswa pada materi ekosistem. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen yang menggunakan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Penerapan PBL berbantuan media youtube sebagai variabel bebas dan literasi numerasi siswa sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini, yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Baros tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 kelas, yaitu kelas X-7 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas X-8 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes berupa tes pilihan ganda. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan uji non-parametrik berupa Uji MannWhitney U untuk menguji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan PBL berbantuan media youtube terhadap literasi numerasi siswa pada materi ekosistem.
