Abstract
The implementation of a reward and punishment system is one of the strategies that can support the formation of a disciplined character in elementary school students. This research aims to describe how the process of implementing reward and punishment takes place, the factors that support and hinder its implementation, and how the disciplined character of students at SDIT Bina Bangsa is developed. The approach used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive method. The informants in this study include the principal, two teachers, and five students from grades I and IV. To ensure the validity of the data, a triangulation technique was used that combines various methods and data sources. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show related to the process of applying reward and punishment, then analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors, as well as describe the disciplinary character profile of students in grades I and IV, concluding that the application of reward and punishment plays a very important role in shaping and developing the disciplinary character of students.

| Additional Information: | Penerapan sistem penghargaan (reward) dan hukuman (punishment) merupakan salah satu strategi yang dapat mendukung pembentukan karakter disiplin pada peserta didik sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana proses pelaksanaan reward dan punishment berlangsung, faktor-faktor yang mendukung maupun menghambat pelaksanaannya, serta bagaimana karakter disiplin peserta didik di SDIT Bina Bangsa. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Informan dalam penelitian ini meliputi kepala sekolah, dua orang guru, serta tujuh peserta didik dari kelas I dan IV. Untuk memastikan keabsahan data, digunakan teknik triangulasi yang menggabungkan berbagai metode dan sumber data. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terkait proses penerapan reward dan punishment, lalu menganalisis faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya, serta mendeskripsikan profil karakter disiplin peserta didik di kelas I dan IV, dengan simpulan bahwa penerapan reward dan punishment sangat berperan penting untuk membentuk serta mengembangkan karakter disiplin peserta didik. | |||||||||
