Abstract

Annisa Nurul Santy: The Influence of Locus of control, Self-Concept, and Self-efficacy on Career Maturity of State Vocational High School Students in Tangerang Regency. Thesis. Banten: Vocational Education of Electrical Engineering FKIP UNTIRTA, 2025. This study aims to determine the influence of locus of control on career maturity, the influence of self-concept on career maturity, the influence of self-efficacy on career maturity, and the combined influence of locus of control, self-concept, and self-efficacy on the career maturity of students at public vocational high schools in Tangerang Regency. This is a quantitative study using an ex post facto research design. The research was conducted at public vocational high schools (SMKN) in Tangerang Regency, with the research subjects being 12th-grade students majoring in Electrical Power Installation Engineering. From a population of 210 students, a total of 131 respondents were selected as the sample. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with a 4-point Likert scale. The data analysis techniques included instrument testing (validity and reliability tests), classical assumption tests (normality, heteroscedasticity, and multicollinearity), descriptive analysis, and hypothesis testing (simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, and coefficient of determination). The results show a positive influence of locus of control on students' career maturity with a regression coefficient value of 0.957 and a contribution of 35.2%. This is also supported by the t-test result, where the t-value is greater than the t-table (8.366 > 1.979) with a significance level of 0.00 < 0.05. There is also a positive influence of self-concept on career maturity with a regression coefficient of 1.491 and a contribution of 57%, shown by a t-value of 13.188 > 1.979 and a significance of 0.00 < 0.05. Furthermore, self-efficacy also has a positive influence on career maturity, with a regression coefficient of 1.663 and a contribution of 59.4%, supported by a t-value of 13.738 > 1.979 and a significance level of 0.00 < 0.05. Penelitian dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri (SMKN) di Kabupaten Tangerang, dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas XII jurusan TITL dari populasi 210 siswa jumlah sampel yang diambil adalah 131 responden. Instrument penelitian ini berupa kuesioner dengan skala likert 4. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis instrumen (uji validitas dan uji releabilitas), analisis asumsi klasik (normalitas, heteroskedastisitas, dan multikolinearitas), analisis deskriptif, dan analisis hipotesis (analisis regresi linier sederhana, analisis regresi linier berganda dan koefisien determinasi). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukan terdapat pengaruh positif antara variabel locus of control terhadap kematangan karier siswa dengan nilai koefisien regresi= 0,957 Dengan kontribusi sebesar 35,2%, hal ini juga dapat terlihat pada perhitungan uji T Dimana nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 8,366>1,979 dengan singnifikansi 0,00<0,05. Terdapat pengaruh positif antara variabel konsep diri terhadap kematangan karier siswa dengan nilai koefisien regresi=1,491 Dengan kontribusi sebesar 57%, hal ini juga dapat terlihat pada perhitungan Uji T dimana nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 13,188>1,979 dengan singnifikansi 0,00<0,05. Terdapat pengaruh positif antaa variabel self-efficacy terhadap kematangan karier siswa dengan nilai koefisien regresi=1,663 Dengan kontribusi sebesar 59,4%, hal ini juga dapat terlihat pada perhitungan Uji T dimana nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 13,738>1,979 dengan singnifikansi 0,00<0,05.
