Abstract
This research aims to understand and describe the psychological aspects of the main character in the novel Seperti Hujan yang Jatuh ke Bumi by Boy Candra, as well as to explore how the main character deals with internal conflicts. The approach used is literary psychology with Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory, which emphasizes the dynamics between the ID, EGO, and SUPEREGO within the human psyche. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with reading and note-taking techniques for data collection. The results of the analysis reveal that the main character in the novel experiences a complex internal struggle between instinctual drives and rational considerations. | Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan mendeskripsikan aspek psikologi tokoh utama dalam novel Seperti Hujan yang Jatuh ke Bumi karya Boy Candra, serta menggali cara tokoh utama menghadapi konflik batin yang dialaminya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah psikologi sastra dengan teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud, yang menekankan dinamika antara ID, EGO, dan SUPEREGO dalam diri manusia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik baca dan catat sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tokoh utama dalam novel mengalami pergulatan batin yang kompleks antara dorongan naluriah dan pertimbangan rasional.
