Abstract
The growth of transportation at Untirta Campus A Pakupatan has led to an increase in motorized vehicles, potentially lowering air quality due to exhaust gas emissions. This study aims to analyze the emission levels from the transportation sector and formulate planning recommendations toward the development of a Low Emission Zone (LEZ). The method used includes direct observation of vehicle volume during peak hours on two different days, followed by calculations of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions such as CO₂, CH₄, and N₂O using the Tier 1 approach from the IPCC. The results showed the highest total emissions occurred on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, with CO₂ at 92.894 kg, CH₄ at 0.03378 kg, and N₂O at 0.01139 kg. These emissions were converted into carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) to estimate their contribution to global warming. Based on the analysis, LEZ planning recommendations include limiting motor vehicle access, promoting environmentally friendly transportation, and increasing vegetation to absorb pollutants. This research is expected to serve as a reference for emission management and sustainable campus environmental planning. Keywords: CO₂, CH₄, and N₂O exhaust emissions, campus transportation, low emission zone.
