Abstract

Soybean as a potential agricultural product needs to be increased in production because it is the main source of protein for most families in Indonesia. This study aims to detect and identify the diversity of fungi carried by soybean seeds (Glycine max (L.) Merril) from the United States using the Blotter Testing method on different substrate variations. This study used a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) namely Substrate Variations, namely Filter Paper (S1), Stencil Paper (S2), and Kitchen Tissue (S3). The results showed there are two types of fungi that identified in soybean seeds based on morphological characteristics such as Rhizopus sp. and Aspergillus sp. with filter paper gave the best results based on the frequency of fungal finding with total 106 seeds or 13,08% of Aspergillus sp and total 22 seeds or 2,71 % of Rhizopus sp. findings. Species Diversity Index, Evenness Index, and Species Richness Index based on each level category. Recommended for using filter paper or combined with nutrient agar method for better results of fungi variety
