Abstract

This study aims to develop a Biology teaching module based on the SICOMO model (Searching, Communication, Modeling) to support differentiated instruction in the topic of plant tissues for Grade XI high school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), limited to the Develop stage. Validation was conducted by two content experts and two media experts, along with a limited trial involving two teachers and fifteen students. Validation results showed the module was rated as highly feasible by content experts (85.5%) and users (98%), and feasible by media experts (76.5%). Revisions were made to the guiding questions, model introduction, and visual quality. The module supports active, adaptive learning tailored to students’ needs and learning styles, making it suitable for implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul ajar Biologi berbasis model SICOMO (Searching, Communication, Modeling) untuk mendukung pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada materi jaringan tumbuhan kelas XI SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), terbatas hingga tahap Develop. Validasi dilakukan oleh dua ahli materi dan dua ahli media, serta uji coba terbatas oleh dua guru dan lima belas siswa. Hasil validasi menunjukkan modul sangat layak menurut ahli materi (85,5%) dan pengguna (98%), serta layak menurut ahli media (76,5%). Revisi dilakukan pada pertanyaan pemantik, pengantar model, dan tampilan visual. Modul dinilai mendukung pembelajaran aktif, adaptif, dan sesuai gaya belajar siswa, sehingga layak digunakan dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka.
