Abstract
This study aims to describe students' numeracy literacy abilities in terms of learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) and personality types (introvert and extrovert). The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive phenomenological method. The subjects were eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Kelapa Dua Tangerang during the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through numeracy literacy tests, learning style questionnaires, personality type questionnaires, and in-depth interviews. The instruments were validated both theoretically and empirically. Data were analyzed using NVivo software to explore the deeper meanings of students' responses. The findings reveal that numeracy literacy abilities vary depending on students’ learning styles and personality types. Students with visual learning styles and extroverted personalities tend to demonstrate higher and more systematic numeracy literacy skills. Conversely, students with kinesthetic learning styles and introverted personalities require more contextual and hands-on learning approaches. This study highlights the importance of understanding individual characteristics in designing adaptive and differentiated learning strategies to optimize numeracy literacy achievement.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa ditinjau dari gaya belajar (visual, auditori, dan kinestetik) serta tipe kepribadian (introvert dan ekstrovert). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif fenomenologis. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kelapa Dua Tangerang pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes literasi numerasi, angket gaya belajar, angket tipe kepribadian, dan wawancara mendalam. Instrumen telah divalidasi secara teoritik dan empiris, serta data dianalisis menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak NVivo untuk menggali makna mendalam dari hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi numerasi bervariasi sesuai dengan gaya belajar dan tipe kepribadian siswa. Siswa dengan gaya belajar visual dan kepribadian ekstrovert cenderung menunjukkan kemampuan literasi numerasi yang lebih tinggi dan sistematis. Sebaliknya, siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik dan kepribadian introvert lebih memerlukan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual dan konkret. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pemahaman karakteristik individu dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang adaptif dan diferensiatif, agar dapat meningkatkan capaian literasi numerasi secara optimal. | |||||||||
