Abstract
This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the OIDDE learning model in improving the critical thinking skills of 10th grade students at SMAN 8 Pandeglang on the subject of environmental change and conservation. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a non-randomized control group pretest and posttest study design. The population of this study was all class X students at SMAN 8 Pandeglang, with samples from classes X-9 and X-6 using purposive sampling. Students' critical thinking skills were measured using 15 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on Ennis' critical thinking indicators. The average critical thinking skill scores of the experimental and control groups in the adequate category. The N-Gain Score test and T-test (independent sample t-test) were used to determine the effectiveness of the learning model. The results showed that the use of OIDDE learning model was not effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. The results of this study are expected to be used as a basis for consideration for teachers as an effort to empower students' critical thinking skills.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran OIDDE dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X SMAN 8 Pandeglang pada materi perubahan dan pelestarian lingkungan hidup. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian non-randomized control group pretest and posttest study design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 8 Pandeglang, dengan sampel kelas X-9 dan kelas X-6 dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa diukur dengan menggunakan 15 soal pilihan ganda (PG) yang mengacu pada indikator berpikir kritis menurut Ennis. Rata-rata nilai keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berada pada dalam kategori cukup. Uji N-Gain Score dan uji T (independent sample t-test) digunakan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari model pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran OIDDE tidak efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai dasar pertimbangan bagi guru sebagai upaya dalam memberdayakan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. | |||||||||
