Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of implementing wordwall-based game-based learning on the numeracy literacy skills of class X students on the concept of ecosystems. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The design of this study uses a pretest-posttest control group. The population in this study were all class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Kota Serang in the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample used consisted of 2 classes, namely class X-1 as the experimental class and class X-2 as the control class. Determination of the sample in this study used a simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used observation and testing. The treatment given to the experimental class was wordwall-based game-based learning while the control class was problem-based learning. The data analysis technique used non-parametric with the Mann-Whitney U Test to test the hypothesis. The results of this study concluded that there is an effect of implementing wordwall-based game-based Learning on the numeracy literacy skills of class X students on the concept of ecosystems.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan game based learning berbasis wordwall terhadap keterampilan literasi numerasi siswa kelas X pada konsep ekosistem. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperiment. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pretest�posttest control group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini, yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 6 Kota Serang tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Sampel yang digunakan terdiri dari 2 kelas, yaitu kelas X-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Penentuan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Perlakuan yang diberikan pada kelas eksperimen adalah game based learning berbasis wordwall sedangkan pada kelas kontrol adalah problem based learning. Teknik analisis data menggunakan non-parametrik dengan Uji Mann-Whitney U untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan game based learning berbasis wordwall terhadap keterampilan literasi numerasi siswa kelas X pada konsep ekosistem.
