Abstract
Education is an effort to build character, not only to educate the life of the nation but also the character of the nation's future successors. Character is a disposition that blends with the personality contained within each person, including behavior, a person's morals and intellectual skills such as having honest and responsible behavior. Character education is needed to develop students' personalities, especially religious character, which is the main value priority in the guidelines for strengthening students' educational character. In this case, schools have an important role in forming students' religious character. One way that schools can achieve educational goals with good character is that schools optimally implement school culture. This research aims to find out how school culture processes in forming students' religious character, find out what students' religious character is and find out the role of school culture in shaping students' religious character at the Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School. This research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach to understand phenomena that occur naturally by research subjects with a descriptive approach so that they can describe what they are about a variable, situation or symptom. The resource persons in this research were 5 people consisting of the Principal, class 1 homeroom teacher and class 5 homeroom teacher as well as class 1 tahfidz teacher and class 5 tahfidz teacher at Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School. The results of the research show that familiarization with school culture (the culture of reading the Koran, the culture of congregational prayers, and the culture of shaking hands) can shape the Religious Character of students at the Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School.

Additional Information: | Pendidikan merupakan upaya dalam membangun karakter, bukan hanya mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa tetapi juga karakter dari para calon penerus bangsa. Karakter merupakan watak yang membaur dengan kepribadian yang terdapat dalam diri setiap orang, meliputi tingkah laku, moral seseorang dan keterampilan intelektual seperti memiliki perilaku jujur dan bertanggung jawab. Pendidikan karakter diperlukan untuk menumbuhkan kepribadian siswa terutama karakter religius yang merupakan prioritas nilai utama dalam pedoman penguatan karakter pendidikan siswa. Dalam hal ini sekolah memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter religius siswa. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan sekolah agar mencapai tujuan pendidikan dengan karakter yang baik yaitu sekolah optimal dalam melaksanakan budaya sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses budaya sekolah dalam pembentukan karakter religius siswa, mengetahui bagaimana karakter religius siswa dan mengetahui bagaimana peran budaya sekolah dalam membentuk karakter religius siswa di Sekolah Dasar Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif untuk memahami fenomena yang terjadi secara alami oleh subjek penelitian dengan pendekatan deskriptif agar dapat menggambarkan secara apa adanya mengenai suatu variabel, keadaan maupun gejala. Narasumber pada penelitian ini berjumlah 5 orang yang terdiri dari Kepala Sekolah, wali kelas 1 dan wali kelas 5 serta guru tahfidz kelas 1 dan guru tahfidz kelas 5 Sekolah Dasar Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembiasaan budaya sekolah (budaya membaca Al-Quran, budaya shalat berjamaah, dan budaya bersalaman) dapat membentuk karakter religius siswa Sekolah Dasar Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah. | |||||||||
