Abstract

In the running of a project in the field of civil engineering, the use of heavy equipment is inevitable because heavy equipment is a factor that greatly affects the success of a project in terms of completing work on time as prescribed. In construction projects, the work time must be carried out appropriately based on the design that has been agreed upon by the owner and the implementing contractor so that there are no delays in the construction of the construction project. The objective of this study is to determine the efficiency, productivity, and operational costs of the tower crane. The research was conducted on the construction project of Elevee Penthouses and Residences. Data collection was carried out through observations of the tower crane over a period of six days. The data analysis method used is quantitative. From the results of data analysis that has been carried out during the research period, it is known that the efficiency of tower cranes in tower 1 obtained an average efficiency of 0.88. Meanwhile, the efficiency of tower cranes in tower 2 obtained an average efficiency of 0.87. For the productivity of tower cranes in tower 1, the average productivity is 1979.86 kg/hour. Meanwhile, tower 2 obtained an average productivity of 1823.47 kg/hour. So that from the productivity of the two tower cranes, a ratio of 1 : 0.92 was obtained. The operational cost of the tower crane in tower 1 is Rp. 617.546,76/hour. Meanwhile, the operational cost of the tower crane in tower 2 obtained an operational cost of Rp. 605.497,46/hour.
