Abstract
his study aims to identify the types of psychogenic speech disorder latah and the underlying factors contributing to its occurrence in the speech of Gary Iskak, as featured in the YouTube video on the Trans7 Official channel, episode “Petjaah! Interrogating Gary Iskak Makes You Laugh Out Loud Lapor Pak!” Part 5. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation and note-taking techniques. The findings reveal that Gary Iskak exhibits four types of latah: echolalia, echopraxia, coprolalia, and automatic obedience. The causes behind these symptoms include social conditioning, imitation, mild anxiety, and social sympathy. The study highlights that latah is not solely a result of neurological factors but is also significantly influenced by social context and situational pressure. | Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis gangguan berbicara psikogenik latah serta faktor penyebab kemunculannya dalam tuturan Gary Iskak yang ditampilkan dalam video kanal youtube Trans7 Official episode “Petjaah! Interogasi Gary Iskak Bikin Ngakak Lapor Pak!” Part 5. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa simak dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gary Iskak mengalami tiga jenis latah, yaitu ekolalia, ekopraksia, dan automatic obedience. Faktor penyebabnya meliputi pengondisian sosial, imitasi, kecemasan ringan, dan simpati sosial. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa gangguan latah tidak hanya terjadi karena faktor neurologis, tetapi juga dipengaruhi oleh konteks sosial dan tekanan situasional.
