Abstract
This study aims to analyze and conclude the ecranization process in the novel Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 by Pidi Baiq into the film Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku 1995 by director Benni Setiawan in the form of shrinkage, expansion and various changes. The method used in this study is the qualitative method. The qualitative method is one of the research procedures that obtains descriptive data results in the form of written or spoken words from people or behavior that can be observed holistically. The data collection technique used by the researcher in this study is the technique of listening, recording and documentation of the results obtained in the form of sentence fragments or quotes from the novel Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 by Pidi Baiq and documentation in the form of images from the film Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku 1995 by director Benni Setiawan. The triangulation technique in this study uses sources and investigators. The results of the study obtained 65 data in the form of 21 shrinkage data, 17 expansion data and 27 varied changes. Based on the results of the study, the most data found were varied changes. So, it can be concluded that there are shrinkage, expansion and varied changes in characters, plots and settings caused by factors of film duration, use of settings and limited funding. A scene or story changes because the director and writer have their own ideas in creating the work.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menyimpulkan proses ekranisasi pada novel Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq ke dalam film Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku 1995 karya sutradara Benni Setiawan berupa penciutan, perluasan dan perubahan bervariasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif. Metode kualitatif merupakan salah satu prosedur penelitian yang memperoleh hasil data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis maupun lisan dari orang-orang ataupun tingkah perilaku yang dapat dicermati secara holistik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang peneliti gunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik simak, catat dan dokumentasi dari hasil yang diperoleh berupa penggalan kalimat atau kutipan novel dari novel Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku Tahun 1995 karya Pidi Baiq dan dokumentasi berupa gambar dari film Ancika: Dia yang Bersamaku 1995 karya sutradara Benni Setiawan. Teknik triangulasi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sumber dan penyidik. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh 65 data berupa penciutan sebanyak 21 data , perluasan sebanyak 17 data dan perubahan bervariasi sebanyak 27. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian paling banyak ditemukan data perubahan bervariasi. Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat penciutan, perluasan dan perubahan bervariasi pada tokoh, alur dan latar yang disebabkan oleh faktor durasi film, penggunaan latar dan pembiayaan yang terbatas. Suatu adegan atau penceritaan mengalami perubahan karena sutradara dan penulis memiliki gagasan masing-masing dalam menciptakan karya. | |||||||||
