Abstract
Electric energy consumption in the hospitality industry is quite high, especially the use of lighting systems, air conditioning, exhaust fans, electrical equipment, pumps and electric motors. This study aims to analyze opportunities for saving electrical energy at Mercure Tangerang Centre Hotel through a detailed energy audit and simulation using RETScreen Expert software. Efficiency solutions implemented include replacing lights with LEDs, adjusting air conditioning capacity, installing occupancy sensors on lights and air conditioners in public areas, and installing Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) on pumps and electric motors. The audit was conducted based on the SNI 6197:2011 standard, with actual hotel energy consumption data. Simulation results show potential energy savings of 19.77% with a reduction in carbon emissions of 175.1ton CO₂ per year. Financial analysis shows the project is feasible with a payback period of 0.4 years.
