Abstract

Tomato production in Indonesia remains relatively low due to suboptimal cultivation practices, particularly in fertilizer application. One environmentally friendly alternative is the use of liquid organic fertilizer such as Jadam Microbial Solution (JMS). This research aimed to examine the effects of different JMS concentrations and fermentation durations on the growth and yield of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) cultivar Gustavi F1. A factorial randomized complete block design (RCBD) was used, consisting of two factors: JMS concentration (5%, 10%, and 15%) and fermentation duration (24, 48, and 72 hours), with three replications for each treatment. The results showed that the 10% concentration combined with a 48-hour fermentation period (K2F2) produced the most optimal growth and yield, with the highest plant height (121,16 cm), stem diameter (7,16 mm), leaf count (41,33 leaves), fruit quantity, fruit weight, and the earliest flowering time (29 days after transplanting). Additionally, treatment K1F2 (5% concentration and 48-hour fermentation) yielded the largest fruit diameter (30,67 mm). These findings suggest that appropriate combinations of JMS concentration and fermentation duration can significantly improve tomato growth and yield.

Additional Information: Produksi tomat di Indonesia masih relatif rendah karena praktik budidaya yang kurang optimal, terutama dalam pemberian pupuk. Salah satu alternatif yang ramah lingkungan adalah penggunaan pupuk organik cair seperti Larutan Mikroba Jadam (JMS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh berbagai konsentrasi JMS dan lama fermentasi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tomat (Solanum lycopersicum L.) kultivar Gustavi F1. Rancangan blok lengkap acak faktorial (RAL) digunakan, yang terdiri dari dua faktor: konsentrasi JMS (5%, 10%, dan 15%) dan lama fermentasi (24, 48, dan 72 jam), dengan tiga kali ulangan untuk setiap perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi 10% yang dikombinasikan dengan lama fermentasi 48 jam (K2F2) menghasilkan pertumbuhan dan hasil yang paling optimal, dengan tinggi tanaman tertinggi (121,16 cm), diameter batang (7,16 mm), jumlah daun (41,33 helai), jumlah buah, berat buah, dan waktu berbunga paling awal (29 hari setelah tanam). Selain itu, perlakuan K1F2 (konsentrasi 5% dan fermentasi 48 jam) menghasilkan diameter buah terbesar (30,67 mm). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi konsentrasi JMS dan durasi fermentasi yang tepat dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tomat secara signifikan.
