Abstract

Manual Air Conditioner (AC) monitoring is inefficient for maintaining thermal comfort and energy management, especially on a large scale. This research aims to design and analyze an Internet of Things (IoT)-based AC monitoring system to improve energy efficiency and operational effectiveness at PT XYZ. The system was designed using a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller integrated with sensors to monitor electrical parameters (current), environmental conditions (temperature, humidity), and compressor pressure. Data is processed via Node-RED and visualized in real-time on the Blynk and Telegram applications. The results show the system was successfully implemented with a sensor error rate below 5%. The system continuously monitors parameters and identified that humidity levels exceeded standards during long-term use, even though temperatures remained stable. This system proves effective in facilitating remote monitoring for energy efficiency, operational effectiveness, and supporting preventive maintenance
