Abstract

The children's bicycle company located in Cikande, Serang Regency, Banten, is a new branch of the children's bicycle company based in West Jakarta. The company has experienced fluctuations in pre-order production, leading to issues with overtime and uneven workloads among employees in the Painting and Final Assembly Departments. This study aims to determine standard time, the workload experienced by each employee, the optimal number of workers, and provide recommendations for improvements. This study employs standard time calculation methods, Full Time Equivalent, and Five Whys Analysis. The results indicate that the production capacity that can be completed within a working time of 580,609.11 seconds only meets 985 sets per month or 20 working days. The workload experienced by employees is mostly within normal limits (inload), However, there are two employees who are overloaded: the 6th employee in the Paint Department and the 8th employee in the Final Assembly Department, as well as two employees who are underloaded: the 1st employee in the Paint Department and the 11th employee in the Final Assembly Department. The optimal workforce for the Paint Department and Final Assembly Department is 14 people, and a redistribution of job descriptions was conducted to balance the workload.

Additional Information: Perusahaan sepeda anak yang berlokasi kan di Cikande, Kabupaten Serang, Banten merupakan perusahaan cabang baru dari perusahaan sepeda anak yang berada pada Jakarta Barat. Perusahaan ini mengalami fluktuasi pre-order produksi, kemudian timbul masalah overtime dan ketidakmerataan beban kerja pada karyawan Departemen Cat dan Final Assembly. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui waktu baku, beban kerja yang dialami tiap karyawan, jumlah tenaga kerja optimal, dan memberikan rekomendasi usulan perbaikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode perhitungan waktu baku, Full Time Equivalent, dan Five Whys Analysis. Hasil menunjukkan untuk kapasitas produksi yang dapat di selesaikan dalam waktu kerja 580.609,11 detik hanya memenuhi 985 set perbulan atau 20 hari kerja, beban kerja yang dialami oleh karyawan sebagian besar dalam beban yang normal (inload), namun Terdapat dua karyawan yang overload yaitu karyawan ke-6 Departemen Cat dan karyawan ke-8 Departemen Final Assembly serta dua karyawan yang underload karyawan ke-1 Departemen Cat dan karyawan ke-11 Departemen Final Assembly, dengan total tenaga kerja optimal untuk Departemen Cat dan Departemen Final Assembly sebanyak 14 orang, kemudian dilakukan re-distribution job description untuk meratakan beban kerja.
