Abstract
This research analyzes the income generated from the cultivation of tuberose ornamental plants (Polianthes tuberosa) in Kadubeureum Village, Padarincang Subdistrict, Serang. The objective of the study is to determine the cost structure, income, and feasibility of the tuberose cultivation business based on the Revenue to Cost (R/C) Ratio analysis. A quantitative case study approach was used, involving interviews and field observations with selected farmers as respondents. The results show that the total production cost for the cultivation of tuberose plants is IDR 16,726,073, while the total revenue generated amounts to IDR 81,384,427, resulting in a significant net income. The R/C Ratio was calculated at 4.87, indicating that the business is financially profitable and highly feasible for further development. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights for local farmers, government institutions, and academics regarding the economic potential and sustainability of tuberose ornamental plant cultivation. Moreover, it emphasizes the importance of effective cost management and strategic planning in enhancing agricultural business performance in rural areas.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini menganalisis pendapatan yang dihasilkan dari budidaya tanaman hias Sedap Malam (Polianthes tuberosa) di Desa Kadubeureum, Kecamatan Padarincang, Kabupaten Serang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur biaya, pendapatan, dan kelayakan usaha budidaya Sedap Malam berdasarkan analisis Rasio Pendapatan terhadap Biaya (R/C Ratio). Pendekatan studi kasus kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan melibatkan wawancara dan observasi lapangan terhadap petani terpilih sebagai responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total biaya produksi budidaya tanaman Sedap Malam sebesar Rp 16.725.972, sedangkan total penerimaan yang diperoleh mencapai Rp 81.384.528, sehingga menghasilkan pendapatan bersih yang signifikan. Nilai R/C Ratio sebesar 4,87 menunjukkan bahwa usaha ini menguntungkan secara finansial dan sangat layak untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut. Temuan dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi para petani lokal, lembaga pemerintah, dan akademisi terkait potensi ekonomi dan keberlanjutan budidaya tanaman hias Sedap Malam. Selain itu, hasil ini juga menekankan pentingnya manajemen biaya yang efektif dan perencanaan strategis dalam meningkatkan kinerja usaha pertanian di wilayah pedesaan. | |||||||||
