Abstract

This research is based on a problem of the egg sorting process using manual methods to see the quality of quail eggs, because there are spots on the shell that are difficult to distinguish, so the sorting results with manual methods are less effective. The purpose of this study is to assist quail egg farmers in sorting the quality of quail eggs based on the outside of the shell and inside the shell. The research results of quail egg weight, quail egg quality and the number of quail eggs can be monitored remotely and in real time through blynk software. The Internet of Things-based quail egg sorting system prototype was successfully developed by integrating the ESP32 microcontroller, TCS3200 color sensor, load cell and LDR to automatically detect the quality, weight and number of eggs. All data is processed in real time and displayed through the blynk application, allowing remote monitoring by farmers. The application of the Internet of Things can manage production by simplifying the process of monitoring and recording monitoring data, while speeding up egg sorting and reducing classification errors. This system is able to increase the productivity of quail egg farmers. The overall accuracy of the IoT-based quail egg sorting tool is 83.33% of the test data compared to the manual method.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini berlatar belakang sebuah permasalahan proses penyortiran telur menggunakan metode manual untuk melihat kualitas telur puyuh, karena terdapat bercak pada cangkang yang sulit untuk dibedakan, sehingga hasil penyortiran dengan metode manual kurang efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk membantu peternak telur puyuh dalam menyortir kualitas telur puyuh berdasarkan luar cangkang dan dalam cangkang. Hasil penelitian berat telur puyuh, kualitas telur puyuh dan jumlah telur puyuh dapat dipantau secara jarak jauh dan real time melalui software blynk. Prototipe sistem sortir telur puyuh berbasis Internet of Things berhasil dikembangkan dengan mengintegrasikan mikrokontroler ESP32, sensor warna TCS3200, load cell dan LDR untuk mendeteksi kualitas, berat dan jumlah telur secara otomatis. Seluruh data diproses secara real time dan ditampilkan melalui aplikasi blynk, memungkinkan pemantauan jarak jauh oleh peternak. Penerapan Internet of Things ini dapat memanajemen produksi dengan mempermudah proses pengawasan dan pencatatan data monitoring, sekaligus mempercepat penyortiran telur dan mengurangi kesalahan klasifikasi. Sistem ini mampu meningkatkan produktivitas peternak telur puyuh. Tingkat akurasi alat sortir telur puyuh berbasis IoT secara keseluruhan sebesar 83,33% dari data hasil pengujian yang dibandingkan dengan metode manual.
