Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) the process of using the on-the-job training (internship) method in improving the skills of barista training participants at SKB Kota Serang, and (2) the participation of training participants in the use of the on-the-job training (internship) method to enhance their barista skills. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources consisted of five informants, including training instructors, training organizers, and training participants. The results of the study show that (1) the implementation of the on-the-job training (internship) method has been carried out effectively through the stages of planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation; and (2) participants' involvement in the on-the-job training method demonstrated increased motivation and active participation throughout the training process.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) proses penggunaan metode pelatihan on the job training (magang) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan peserta pelatihan barista di SKB Kota Serang. (2) Partisipasi peserta pelatihan pada penggunaan metode pelatihan on the job training (magang) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan peserta pelatihan barista di SKB Kota Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data dari penelitian ini terdiri dari 5 informan yang terdiri dari instrtuktur pelatihan, penyelenggara pelatihab, dan peserta pelatihan. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) penggunaan metode pelatihan on the job training (magang) telah berjalan dengan baik melalui tahap perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. (2) Partisipasi peserta pelatihan pada penggunaan metode on the job training (magang) telah menunjukan adanya motivasi dan meningkatkan partisipasi peserta pelatihan pada saat pelatihan berlangsung.
