Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital learning medium in the form of a Canva-integrated flipbook to improve the teaching and learning of biography texts among 10th-grade students at SMAIT Putri Al Hanif. The research applies a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The flipbook was developed with attention to visual appeal, interactivity, and accessibility. Validation results from content and media experts showed high feasibility, with validation scores of 94.5% and 97%, respectively. Its effectiveness was tested through pre- and post-tests, producing an N-Gain score of 0.76 (76%), which falls into the high and effective category. Student and teacher responses indicated strong enthusiasm and positive perceptions. Therefore, the Canva-integrated flipbook is proven to be valid, feasible, and effective in enhancing students’ comprehension and learning motivation in studying biography texts.

Media flipbook dikembangkan dengan mempertimbangkan aspek visual, interaktivitas, dan kemudahan akses, serta divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan media. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media dinyatakan sangat layak dengan skor validasi ahli materi sebesar 94,5% dan ahli media sebesar 97%. Uji keefektifan dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test yang menghasilkan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,76 atau 76%, dikategorikan tinggi dan efektif. Respon siswa dan guru juga menunjukkan antusiasme dan penilaian positif terhadap media yang dikembangkan. Dengan demikian, media flipbook terintegrasi canva terbukti layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran teks biografi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan motivasi belajar siswa.
