Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how MSME performance is shaped by factors such as innovation strategy, management control systems, and IT capabilities. This study used a quantitative approach, gathering primary data through questionnaires that were distributed both face-to-face and online via Google Forms to MSME participants located in Tangerang City. The study applied purposive sampling and managed to collect data from a total of 85 selected respondents. The data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) approach, supported by the Smart-PLS software version 4.1. The results show that innovation strategy plays a significant and positive role in enhancing MSME performance. On the other hand, while management control systems and information technology capabilities are positively associated with performance, their influence is not statistically significant.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana kinerja Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu strategi inovasi, sistem pengendalian manajemen, dan kapabilitas teknologi informasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan data primer yang dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner, baik secara langsung maupun melalui Google Form kepada pelaku UMKM yang berada di Kota Tangerang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dan berhasil terkumpul sebanyak 85 responden yang sesuai dengan kriteria penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS versi 4.1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi inovasi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja UMKM. Sementara itu, sistem pengendalian manajemen dan kapabilitas teknologi informasi berhubungan positif dengan kinerja, namun pengaruhnya tidak signifikan secara statistik.
