Abstract
This research aims to analyze the implementation of Project Based Learning (PBL) in the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years at Roudhoh Serang-Banten Kindergarten. PjBL was chosen as a learning approach that focuses on children's direct experience in working on projects, which is expected to stimulate their cognitive development. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the implementation of PjBL in Roudhoh Kindergarten is very effective in improving children's cognitive abilities, especially in the aspects of critical thinking, creativity and problem solving. The teacher acts as a facilitator who helps children choose a project theme, plans activities, and provides guidance during project implementation. Additionally, collaboration between children in completing projects strengthens social skills and a sense of responsibility. The reflection process at the end of the project also provides an opportunity for children to understand and deepen the material they have studied. Overall, PBL has been proven to have a positive impact in developing the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years at Roudhoh Serang-Banten Kindergarten.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project Based Learning/PjBL) dalam upaya kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK Roudhoh Serang-Banten. PjBL dipilih sebagai Strategi pembelajaran yang menekankan keterlibatan langsung anak dalam mengerjakan proyek, yang diharapkan dapat merangsang perkembangan kognitif mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis proyek di TK Roudhoh terbukti sangat efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif anak, khususnya dalam hal kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, serta pemecahan masalah. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator yang membantu anak memilih tema proyek, merencanakan kegiatan, serta memberikan bimbingan selama pelaksanaan proyek. Selain itu, kolaborasi antar anak dalam menyelesaikan proyek memperkuat keterampilan sosial dan rasa tanggung jawab. Proses refleksi di akhir proyek juga memberikan kesempatan bagi anak untuk memahami dan mendalami materi yang telah dipelajari. Secara keseluruhan, PjBL terbukti memberikan dampak positif dalam menunjang perkembangan kognitif anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK Roudhoh Serang-Banten. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan Project Based Learning dalam kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Roudhoh Serang- Banten, Mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasi Project Based Learning dalam kemampuan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Roudhoh Serang-Banten. | |||||||||
