Abstract
The advancement of technology and science in education serves as a platform to enhance skills and knowledge, aiming to create a generation that is creative, innovative, and independent. This study aims to explore the development process and feasibility of pop-up book learning media on the topic of characteristics of living things for third-grade elementary students. This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall model, which includes stages such as identifying potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and product testing. The study was conducted at SDN Kadudodol 2 with 29 third-grade students as participants. The research successfully developed a pop-up book media product on the characteristics of living things for third-grade elementary students. The product’s feasibility was validated by media and material experts, as well as student responses. Media expert validation yielded a score of 86%, categorized as highly feasible. Material expert validation resulted in a score 87%, also categorized as highly feasible. Product testing showed a score of 90%, indicating high feasibility. The finding suggest that the pop-up book learning media is suitable for use in elementary science education, particularly for teaching the characteristics of living things.

Additional Information: | Perkembangan teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan pada pendidikan berperan sebagai wadah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan, guna menciptakan generasi yang kreatif, inovatif, dan mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan serta kelayakan media pembelajaran pop-up book pada topik ciri-ciri makhluk hidup pada jenjang kelas III sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Bord and Gall yang memiliki tahapan potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, dan ujicoba produk. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Kadudodol 2 dengan subjek penelitian ialah 29 siswa kelas III. Penelitian ini berhasil mengembangkan produk berupa media pop-up book pada materi ciri-ciri makhluk hidup untuk siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. Produk ini layak digunakan berdasarkan validasi ahli media serta materi dan respon peserta didik. Validasi ahli media memperoleh skor 86% dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor 87%dengan kategori sangat layak. Adapun hasil uji coba produk menunjukan hasil skor 90% dengan kategori sangat layak. Dari penelitian ini bahwa media pembelajaran pop-up book layak diterapkan sebagai media pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar khususnya pada materi ciri-ciri makhluk hidup. | |||||||||
