Abstract

Cognitive development encompasses the brain processes that occur as children process and receive information, helping them to remember, assimilate, and understand learning. This research aims to determine the effect of augmented reality (AR) technology on the memory ability of children aged 5-6 years at Bina Bangsa Islamic School. The research method used is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach and a nonequivalent control group design. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation, and tests, with data analysis using SPSS 22. The results of the t-test in the experimental class show a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant effect of AR usage on children's memory ability, compared to results using picture card media.

Additional Information: Perkembangan kognitif mencakup proses-proses otak yang terjadi saat anak memproses dan menerima informasi, sehingga membantu mereka dalam mengingat, mengasimilasi, dan memahami pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknologi augmented reality (AR) terhadap kemampuan mengingat anak usia 5-6 tahun di Paud Bina Bangsa Islamic School. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan quasi experimental dan desain nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes, dengan analisis data menggunakan program SPSS 22. Hasil uji-t pada kelas eksperimen menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05), yang mengindikasikan adanya pengaruh signifikan penggunaan AR terhadap kemampuan mengingat anak, dibandingkan dengan hasil yang menggunakan media kartu gambar
