Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of group counseling using the gratitude technique in reducing body self-criticism among 12th-grade students at SMAN 6 Serang city. This research employs a quantitative approach with a Single Subject Research (SSR) experimental design using an A-B-A model. The study subjects consisted of five 12th-grade students from SMAN 6 Kota Serang. Data were collected using a body self-criticism questionnaire and analyzed descriptively, presented in tables and graphs. The results indicate that group counseling using the gratitude technique has a positive impact on reducing body self-criticism, as evidenced by decreased scores after the intervention. The body self-criticism scores in each phase were as follows: baseline A1 (SKG: 125–123–124, SAK: 121–120– 118, NP: 117–115–114, RS: 113–112–112, EP: 112–111–113), intervention B (SKG: 110–107–104–102–100–98–95, SAK: 108–105–102–100–97–94–91, NP: 105– 100–103–97–90–94–87, RS: 102–100–97–94–91–88–85, EP: 100–97–94–91–88– 85–82), and baseline A2 (SKG: 66–64–60, SAK: 70–67–66, NP: 58–57–55, RS: 55–52–49, EP: 63–62–61). The effectiveness of this intervention is further supported by an overlap result of 0%, indicating that the gratitude technique in group counseling is effective in reducing body self-criticism. Thus, it can be concluded that group counseling using the gratitude technique is proven to be effective in reducing body self-criticism among 12th-grade students at SMAN 6 Serang city

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling kelompok dengan teknik gratitude dalammereduksi body self-criticism pada siswa kelas XII SMAN 6 Kota Serang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konseling kelompok teknik gratitude berpengaruh terhadap penurunan body self-criticism pada siswa, yang terlihat dari penurunan skor setelah diberikan intervensi.
