Abstract

Nurse scheduling is an important aspect in managing health workers to ensure the availability of optimal medical services, because it directly affects the quality of patient care. Hospital X faces problems in its manual scheduling system, such as workload imbalance, and the absence of consideration of nurse performance in the previous period in the scheduling process. This study aims to develop a mathematical model in nurse scheduling based on performance in the previous period to improve fairness in the distribution of work schedules. The mathematical model developed uses the Integer Linear Programming (ILP) approach with the Branch and Bound method, and is implemented in LINGO 21.0 software. The results of the study indicate that the developed model has been validated and can describe real conditions. In addition, this model produces a more optimal schedule when compared to the manual scheduling system, with an objective function value in the scheduling model of 40281 and manual scheduling of 40188.

Additional Information: Penjadwalan perawat merupakan aspek yang penting dalam pengelolaan tenaga kesehatan untuk memastikan ketersediaan layanan medis yang optimal, karena berpengaruh langsung terhadap kualitas pelayanan pasien. Rumah Sakit X menghadapi permasalahan dalam sistem penjadwalan manualnya, seperti ketidakseimbangan beban kerja, serta tidak adanya pertimbangan terhadap kinerja perawat pada periode sebelumnya dalam proses penjadwalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model matematika dalam penjadwalan perawat berbasis kinerja pada periode sebelumnya guna meningkatkan keadilan dalam distribusi jadwal kerja. Model matematika yang dikembangkan menggunakan pendekatan Integer Linear Programming (ILP) dengan metode Branch and Bound, dan diimplementasikan dalam software LINGO 21.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model yang dikembangkan sudah tervalidasi dan dapat menggambarkan kondisi nyata. Selain itu, model ini menghasilkan jadwal yang lebih optimal apabila dibandingkan dengan sistem penjadwalan manual, dengan nilai fungsi tujuan pada model penjadwalan sebesar 40281 dan penjadwalan manual sebesar 40188.
